Why This Recipe Is So Tasty
Pro Cooking Tips
- Warm the sandwich slightly before serving to enhance the flavors.
- Add a little mustard or pickles for an extra tangy kick.
Step 1
Spray a large skillet with non-stick cooking spray and warm it over medium heat. Add the ham in batches—about a third at a time—and cook for around 15 seconds until it starts to brown lightly. Once done, transfer the ham to a big bowl.
Step 2
In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium-low and add the oil. Toss in the chopped onion and green pepper, sautéing them for about 7 minutes or until they’re nice and tender.
Step 3
Stir in the ham glaze, pineapple (with its juice), brown sugar, and vinegar. Let everything heat through so the flavors blend together.
Step 4
Pour this saucy mixture over the ham in the bowl and give it a good toss to coat everything evenly. Serve it up on your favorite rolls and enjoy!
