Why This Dish Is Amazing
Helpful Cooking Tips
- Don’t overcook the shrimp; they become rubbery if left too long.
- Adjust the amount of Cajun seasoning to match your preferred spice level.
Step 1
Bring a big pot of salted water to a boil. Toss in the pasta and cook it until it’s just tender, about 4 minutes, then drain and set aside. While the pasta is cooking, melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook them for about a minute on each side until they turn pink. Toss in the garlic and cook it for another minute until fragrant. Take the shrimp out with a slotted spoon and set them aside.
Step 2
Sprinkle the flour and Cajun seasoning into the skillet and stir everything together. Let it cook for about 5 minutes, stirring often so it doesn’t burn. Slowly whisk in the milk, and keep cooking until the sauce thickens up nicely. Take the skillet off the heat, then season the sauce with a pinch of salt and a squeeze of lemon juice to brighten it up. Finally, stir the shrimp back into the sauce and spoon it all over your pasta. Enjoy!
