Why This Dish Is Worth Trying
Kitchen Tricks
- Warm the rolls slightly before filling to keep them soft and easy to handle.
- Add fresh herbs like parsley or thyme to the filling for an extra burst of flavor.
Step 1
In a bowl, mix the flour, yeast, and salt. Pour in the milk and knead it into a soft dough. Then add the oil and knead again until smooth. Grease the bowl, place the dough inside, brush a little oil on top, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rest for about an hour until it doubles in size.
Step 2
Heat some oil in a pan and sauté the ginger-garlic paste and onions for a minute. Add the chicken and cook for 2-3 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, chili flakes, and cumin seeds, then stir well. Toss in the capsicum and cook for another minute. Finally, stir in the mayonnaise and turn off the heat.
Step 3
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and knead it briefly. Divide it into small balls. On a floured surface, flatten each ball, place some filling in the center, and brush water around the edges. Fold the dough over and seal it to form a bun.
Step 4
Place the buns on a baking tray. Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle black sesame seeds over them.
Step 5
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
Step 6
Let them cool slightly before serving—enjoy your delicious chicken-stuffed buns!
