What Makes This Dish So Tasty
Tips To Improve This Recipe
- Chill the drink well before serving to enhance its refreshing quality.
- Muddle the mint leaves gently to release their aroma without making the drink bitter.
Step 1
Stir the sugar and 1/4 cup of water in a small saucepan. Warm it over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has completely dissolved—this usually takes about 3 to 4 minutes. Once done, take it off the heat and let it cool for around 15 minutes.
Step 2
Toss the mangoes, the simple syrup you just made, lime juice, and 1 cup of water into a blender. Blend everything until you get a smooth mixture. To make it extra refreshing, strain the puree through a fine sieve into a pitcher to remove any pulp.
Step 3
Add the remaining water along with some fresh mint leaves to the pitcher. Give it a good stir, then pop it into the fridge to chill for at least two hours. This drink tastes best when it’s nicely cooled and the mint has had time to infuse. Serve chilled and enjoy!
