Why This Recipe Is So Tasty
Tips For Best Results
- Sear the pork chops before pressure cooking to add a rich, caramelized taste.
- Let the pressure release naturally for a few minutes to keep the meat tender.
Step 1
Turn on your Instant Pot and setting it to the sauté mode. Toss in the butter and bacon, cooking until the bacon is just about done but still a little soft, which should take around 5 minutes. Next, add the pork chops and sear them for about a minute on each side to lock in the flavor. Stir in the honey, soy sauce, and garlic, making sure everything is well combined.
Step 2
Close the lid and lock it in place. Set the pressure cooker to high pressure and cook the pork chops for 10 minutes. It will take about 10 to 15 minutes for the pot to come up to pressure. When the timer goes off, carefully release the pressure using the quick-release method.
Step 3
Once you can open the lid, transfer the pork chops to a plate and switch the Instant Pot back to sauté. In a small bowl, mix the cold water and cornstarch until smooth, then pour the mixture into the pot. Stir the sauce as it cooks and thickens, which should take about 5 minutes. Finally, pour the sauce over the pork chops and enjoy!
