What Makes This Dish So Tasty
Tips For Best Results
- Pre-cook the chicken well to avoid soggy toast and ensure it’s fully cooked.
- Add fresh herbs like basil or oregano for an extra burst of flavor.
Step 1
In a bowl, mix the flour, salt, and yeast. Pour in half a cup of milk and stir well. Add a little more milk, about a quarter cup, and knead everything into a soft dough. Grease a bowl with some oil, place the dough inside, and brush a bit of oil on top. Cover it with plastic wrap and let it rise for about an hour.
Step 2
While the dough is rising, heat some oil in a pan. Sauté the garlic and onion for a minute, then sprinkle in the flour and cook it for another minute. Slowly pour in the chicken stock, stirring as it thickens. Season with salt, pepper, and chili flakes.
Step 3
Toss in the chopped capsicum, boiled chicken, and coriander leaves. Mix everything well and set it aside.
Step 4
Once the dough has doubled in size, punch it down and divide it into 6 or 7 small balls. Dust your work surface with flour, roll out each ball, and spoon some of the chicken filling onto one side. Make a few slits on the dough and fold it over to seal your chicken bread.
Step 5
Top each piece with a few slices of capsicum and tomato for a fresh touch. Brush the tops with beaten egg to give them a nice golden color when baked.
Step 6
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 20 minutes, until the bread is golden and cooked through.
Step 7
Let them cool slightly, then enjoy your homemade chicken pizza bread!
