Why This Recipe Is So Tasty
Kitchen Tricks
- Use a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- Check the fish at the minimum cooking time to avoid overcooking and drying it out.
Step 1
Lightly heat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Sprinkle some seasoned salt over the catfish fillets to give them a nice flavor. In a small bowl, whisk together the orange juice, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and a bit of hot sauce until well combined.
Step 2
Heat a splash of olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the catfish and cook for about 1 to 2 minutes on each side until they’re lightly browned. Next, spread the mustard sauce all over both sides of the fillets, then pour any leftover sauce over the top.
Step 3
Scatter the bell pepper, onion, and garlic on and around the fish in the skillet. Pop the whole thing into the oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily when you poke it with a fork.
