Why This Recipe Is So Delicious
Chef's Cooking Tips
- Blanch the asparagus briefly before wrapping to ensure they are tender but still crisp.
- Keep the hollandaise sauce warm and stir gently to prevent it from separating.
Step 1
Whisk the sauce mix and milk together in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Add the butter, then bring everything to a gentle boil, stirring until the butter melts and the sauce is nice and smooth. Turn the heat down and let it simmer for about a minute, stirring now and then, until it thickens up a bit. Set it aside to cool off while you get the asparagus ready.
Step 2
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Toss in the asparagus and cook for about 3 minutes until they’re just tender. Drain them and run under cold water right away to stop the cooking. Pat them dry with some paper towels on a cutting board.
Step 3
Take a slice of ham and wrap it around 4 asparagus spears, then lay the bundles out on a serving tray. Keep going until all the asparagus is wrapped. Finally, drizzle the hollandaise sauce over the bundles and sprinkle with some fresh dill for a nice touch. Enjoy!
