Why This Dish Is So Satisfying
Chef Tips
- Avoid pressing down on the patties while cooking to keep them juicy and tender.
- Let the patties rest for a few minutes after grilling to allow the juices to redistribute.
Step 1
Heat your grill to medium-high and give the grates a light brush of oil so the patties don’t stick. In a small bowl, mix together the cranberry sauce, horseradish, lemon juice, and cumin. Taste it and add a bit of salt and pepper, then set the topping aside.
Step 2
In a larger bowl, use your hand to blend the egg, celery, and onion until the egg is fully mixed in. Add the ground turkey along with thyme, poultry seasoning, parsley, and bread crumbs, and gently mix everything until it’s well combined. Shape the mixture into eight even patties.
Step 3
Grill the turkey patties for about 4 minutes on each side, or until they’re cooked through and no longer pink in the middle. If you have a meat thermometer, aim for 165°F (74°C) to be safe. Once they’re done, pop the patties onto your buns and spoon over the cranberry topping before serving.
