Why This Recipe Is A Must Try
Cooking Tips You Should Know
- Use fresh lemon juice to brighten the taste and add a zingy contrast.
- Blend the ingredients well to achieve a creamy and smooth texture without lumps.
Step 1
Gently heat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and lining a baking sheet with foil for easy cleanup. Cut the golden beets into quarters and give them a good toss with some olive oil, then spread them out on the baking sheet. Roast the beets for about 35 to 40 minutes, or until you can easily poke a knife through them. Once they’re done, let them cool down a bit.
Step 2
Pop the roasted beets into a food processor along with the beans, tahini, lemon juice, balsamic vinegar, cumin, turmeric, salt, and garlic. Blend everything until it’s nice and smooth. If the hummus feels too thick, add a little of the reserved bean liquid a spoonful at a time until you get the perfect creamy texture. Finally, scoop the hummus into a bowl and it’s ready to enjoy!
