What Makes This Dish So Tasty
Kitchen Tips
- Use ripe avocados for the smoothest texture and best taste.
- Avoid overbaking to keep the brownies moist and fudgy; check with a toothpick around 20-25 minutes.
Directions
Gently heat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and greasing an 8-inch square baking dish with a tablespoon of coconut oil. In a small bowl, mix together the water and flaxseed meal to make a flax egg, then let it sit for about 5 minutes so it thickens. Next, throw the flax egg, black beans, coconut sugar, avocado, and a couple teaspoons of coconut oil into a food processor and blend until everything is smooth and well combined. Add in the cocoa powder, baking soda, and baking powder, then keep blending for about 3 to 4 minutes until the batter is silky. Pour the batter into a large bowl, stir in the chocolate chips, and spread it evenly in your prepared baking dish. Pop it in the oven and bake for around 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Once it’s done, let it cool a bit, cut into 16 squares, and sprinkle some extra chocolate chips on top if you like!
