Why This Recipe Stands Out
Smart Cooking Tips
- Brush the taco cups with a little melted butter before baking to help them crisp up nicely.
- Let the apple filling cool slightly before filling the cups to avoid sogginess.
Directions
Gently heat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Pour the apple pie filling into a bowl and give the apple slices a quick dice. Next, take a small oven-safe bowl and press a tortilla into it, shaping it into a little cup. Brush the inside of the tortilla with melted butter, then sprinkle a good amount of cinnamon sugar all over it. Pop the tortilla cups into the oven and bake for about 10 to 12 minutes, until they’re nice and crispy. When they’re done, carefully lift them out of the bowls and let them cool on a wire rack. Once cooled, fill each taco cup with a scoop of ice cream and spoon the apple pie filling on top. Finish things off with a dollop of whipped cream and a light sprinkle of cinnamon for extra flavor. Enjoy!
